<h3>FIELD SERVICE SPECIALIST</h3>
As a successful Metrohm Field Service Specialist you will apply your instrument /chemistry knowledge and technical experience to solve customer’s instrumentation requirements, support installations and ensure optimal system performance. 
The majority of the on-site services will include installations, method development, validation, and training, in addition, may also include simple-to-complex repairs, preventive maintenance, certification, and more. This position will support Ontario and Quebec. The ideal candidate will reside in the greater Toronto or Montreal areas. 
You will get to travel to a diverse group of labs, meet different people and see various instrument applications at work. You will have the resources to support the client face to face, via phone, email, and Teams. The ability to prioritize a busy schedule over a large territory is essential; positive customer relations, as well as good collaboration with local colleagues and customer support, ensure sure-fire success in this role. Significant field travel of over 75% will be required.
<h4>Ideal Experience and Education:</h4>
<ul>
<li>BSc in Chemistry (or closely related degree). 2 years of chemical laboratory analysis and hands-on repair experience with scientific equipment. cGMP and IQOQ experience is an asset.</li>

<li>Valid driver’s license, stable credit history and successful drug screening. Regional travel requirement will be assigned by manager. Proficiency to communicate in French is an asset.</li>

The Technical Instructor’s primary responsibility is to ensure the maximum competency of Metrohm USA’s Field Service Specialists in the installation and maintenance of all Metrohm products. Responsibilities include preparation of course content and objectives, syllabi, lesson plans, student manuals, and development of training aids. These responsibilities also extend to the training offerings developed and provided for customers and internal departments, such as Sales or Marketing. Instructors arrange and provide customer training routinely; either through scheduled “Fundamentals” sessions or with a customized format tailored to individual applications. Customer trainings can be held at the customer site, a training area at any Metrohm USA facility (Riverview/Houston/Plainsboro) or remotely through a virtual interface.
<h3>TECHNICAL INSTRUCTOR – CHEMICAL INSTRUMENTATION EQUIPMENT</h3>
<h4>Essential Functions:</h4>

<li>Coordinate and deliver high quality instructor-led classroom and virtual training sessions

<li>Identify subject matter that lends itself to virtual training courses and create content for online use
</li>
<li>Participate in the development of criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities
</li>
<li>Remain informed of and maintain proficiency with applicable company products and maintain current certification status required to deliver training
</li>
<li>Assess the knowledge and skills of training attendees and evaluate the training outcomes
</li>
<li>Maintain accurate training documentation and records
</li>
<li>Evaluate and maintain training equipment to ensure proper operation
</li>
<li>Be the voice of the learner, ensuring that their needs are at the forefront of content efforts
</li>
<li>Serve as a mentor to other instructors
</li>
<li>Coordinate directly with customer to develop custom training suites and course outlines through consultation Determine best training mode for individual requests
</li>
<li>Assists in developing training schedules and student enrollment
</li>
<li>Reports directly to the Training Manager

<li>Overnight travel average of 35%

<h4>Ideal Skills, Experience and Education:</h4>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Physics or related field with a minimum of five years’ service experience on Metrohm Products coupled with 3-5 years of experience in preparing and delivering technical training and supplemental course materials. 
</li>
<li>Current or prior MAG instructor certification preferred. Must possess excellent verbal/written communication skills with effective soft people skills and professional demeanor. 
</li>
<li>Willingness to collaborate with field service team members on related projects, incorporate field-based training feedback and encourage continuous improvement.

<li>Fosters a team-based mentality within the training department and other internal staff. 
</li>
<li>Proficiency in computer applications using Windows based software and Metrohm systems software is required.
