Anton Paar: Next-Generation Flow Chemisorption with Autosorb 3300

The essential techniques used to characterize heterogeneous catalysts have remained largely unchanged for decades. This is especially true when it comes to automation, ease of use, repeatability, reproducibility, and operator safety.

In this webinar, we will present Anton Paar’s Autosorb 3300 and the latest developments in temperature-programmed measurements, including TPR, TPO, and TPD, as well as pulse titration for active metal area. The session will highlight innovations such as liquid-cooled high-temperature furnace design, automatic leak detection, linear heating, automatic injection loop selection, and simplified sample cell attachment.

Learn how Autosorb 3300 helps reduce the complexity of chemisorption and makes advanced catalyst characterization more accessible to laboratories in industry and academia while supporting high-quality data. The presentation will also include practical examples of different measurement types.

Presenter: Dr. Martin A. Thomas PhD

Dr Thomas has more than 40 years’ experience in porous materials characterization, much of that time associated with heterogeneous catalysts as well as battery materials, ceramics and pharmaceuticals. He joined Quantachrome Instruments in 1991 from ICI’s Catalyst Research Centre in the UK, and has served as Anton Paar QuantaTec’s Lead Scientist since 2020, supporting customers worldwide through webinars and seminars. He is co-author of the book “Characterization of Porous Solids and Powders: Surface Area, Pore Size and Density” published by Springer.
