Bruker: Fluorescence Microscopy Webinars Enabling Light Sheet Imaging and Tissue Clearing in a Shared Facility

During this webinar, guest speaker Matthew Kofron, Ph.D., will explain his work at the Bio-Imaging and Analysis Facility at the Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center. He will address several of the challenges imaging facilities face with an abundance of sample types that require specialized processing techniques. Learn more about how different clearing protocols with light-sheet imaging and confocal microscopy can create tailored scientific data.

Presenter's Abstract

In this presentation, I will address the challenges of light sheet imaging faced by an imaging facility within a large academic medical center, where users encounter a diverse array of sample types, including tissues from model organisms, IPSC-derived organoids, translational xenografts, and human tissues. The variability in sample types is compounded by the use of multiple labeling methods that may necessitate specialized processing techniques, as well as varying resolution requirements to meet specific investigator inquiries. We present our implementation of various clearing protocols in conjunction with light sheet imaging and confocal microscopy, which together facilitate the generation of quantifiable data tailored to the needs of our diverse user base. This approach not only enhances the visualization capabilities for complex biological samples but also supports reproducible and reliable data acquisition across different research applications.
