Shimadzu Corporation: Elemental Analysis: Energize the Future with Advanced Battery Testing Solutions

Companies and universities around the world are making all-out efforts to improve the performance of lithium-ion batteries, reduce costs, and develop efficient recycling processes. Meeting these challenges will require an array of instrumentation for analyzing everything from raw materials to individual components of each battery, such as positive and negative electrodes, electrolyte solutions, and black mass for recycling. Because each of these matrices presents unique analytical challenges, specific methodologies are needed to aid R&D, manufacturing, and quality control processes.

Join this webinar to learn innovative techniques for overcoming unique matric-specific challenges for analyzing black mass, electrolyte solutions, anode materials, and cathode materials by ICP-AES, TOC, and X-ray fluorescence.

Who should attend:

  • Research scientists developing innovative LiB materials and recycling processes
  • Engineering professionals working to develop, extract, refine, produce, and process LiB materials
  • Mining, production, and recycling operations seeking to expand analytical testing capabilities of LiB materials and black mass
  • Quality control analysts working to improve production processes
  • Battery industry consultants assisting clients to secure innovative instrumental characterization techniques

Attend this webinar and discover innovations in:

  • Simplified quantitative analysis of black mass for LiB recycling using ICP-AES and EDXRF
  • Organic carbon analysis of lithium brines and electrode raw materials
  • Matrix-specific challenges for ICP-AES analysis of LiB anode, cathode, and electrolyte solution materials, as well as black mass for recycling
  • Fast, simple qualitative analysis of LiB black mass and electrolyte solutions using EDXRF
