Presenter: Jackie, PhD (Assistant Market Manager - Chemical & Food, Shimadzu (Asia Pacific) Pte Ltd)

Jackie obtained his PhD in Analytical Chemistry from the National University of Singapore, He has garnered over 10 years of research, training, and facilitation experience. Jackie meets scientists from various industries to share technical knowledge and collect feedback, understanding their problems and helping them find well-suited solutions in GC-related analyses.

Presenter: Osamu Ishitani, PhD (Special Appointed Professor, Hiroshima University)

Prof. Dr. Osamu Ishitani is a Special Appointed Professor of Chemistry at Hiroshima University and an emeritus professor of Tokyo Institute of Technology. He received his B. Eng. from Kobe University (1982) and Dr. Eng. from Osaka University (1987). He spent three months as a visiting researcher at the Hahn-Meitner Institute (Berlin, Germany), then joined the National Institute for Resources and Environment (AIST) as a researcher, and moved to Saitama University as an associate professor in 1995. He moved to Tokyo Institute of Technology in 2002 and became a full professor in 2006. He is a Vice President of the Asian and Oceanian Photochemistry Association. Osamu Ishitani served as President of the Japanese Photochemical Association (2020-) and Vice President of the Chemical Society of Japan (2018-2020). He has been interested in artificial photosynthesis for longer than 30 years. The main scientific targets of his group are photocatalytic CO2 reduction, photochemical properties of transition metal complexes, photo-functional metal complexes, and hybrid photocatalysts consisting of metal complexes and semiconductor materials.

Presenter: Chanatip Samart, PhD (Associate Professor, Thammasat University)

Dr. Chanatip Samart is currently Associate Professor at Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science and Technology, Thammasat University, Faculty of Science and Technology, Thammasat University. He received the B.Sc. in Industrial Chemistry from King Mongkut Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL). After that, he recieved the Master and Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, from Kasetsart University. He was appointed lecturer in Department of Chemistry, Thammasat University in year 2006. He was deputy Dean, and Head of Chemistry Department in year 2009 and 2012, respectively. He received the award of outstanding young researcher from Thammasat University in year 2009. He has been awarded Talent mid-career fund by National Research Council of Thailand from year 2022-2024. His research interest is biomass conversion, catalysis and surface modification. His publication is more than 100 papers in ISI. He has been served as editorial board member of Discover Applied Science (Formerly S.N. Applied Science) Journal, Carbon Resources Conversion, and Journal of Metals Materials and Mineral.
