Job Description
How will you make an impact?
The Product Specialist (SpSD) will be responsible for Business development and technical sales to support strategic growth in the Southern region in the Spectroscopy Division.
The position will require frequent interaction with various groups within the company, including the Application team, Product Marketing, R&D, product support, commercial teams, demo labs, as well as our customers. This position will be reporting to the Business Manager-SpSD.
What will you do?
Drive the technical sales and will work on the strategic growth of atomic and molecular spectroscopy in the region.
Work closely with the Sales and Technical team to close deals.
Need to be strong technically to convince customers and bring the business based on workflow solutions.
Support teamwork with key opinion leaders from an application perspective and leverage data/results from such collaborations for marketing collateral
Need to generate new opportunities by demand generation and working with the Marketing division to implement the strategy
Strong strive to R&A, Pharma, Food, and C&E market to increase market share
Need to conduct Account seminars, Marketing seminars on spectroscopy
Train sales and/or customers on our workflow and deliver key product positioning information along with complete workflow solutions
Interact with the global commercial teams to support pre- and post-sales requirements
Collect and review business data relevant to Spectroscopy such as funnel information, win/loss analysis, competition, installed base etc.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
High comfort level of interacting, discussing, and making pitches to internal/external customers
Ability to travel frequently
Industry/Application Expertise: Good level of application knowledge in either Food, Environmental, Forensics, Chemical, Materials and/or Life Sciences Research.
Commercial/selling skills: Business development experience, strong experience in sales/closing skills
Qualifications
- Bachelor or higher in Chemistry or related subject area (Master or PhD is added advantage)
Product expertise: High level of experience with AAS, ICPOES, ICPMS, FTIR, UV-Vis, UV-Vis, Raman, and Chemical imaging instruments.
