Analytical Chemist

Analytical Chemist
We have an opening for an Analytical Chemist at the Analyst level:
- Perform hands-on laboratory work with limited supervision
- Interpret analytical data from a variety of techniques (including FT-IR, NMR, GC-MS and/or LC-MS)
- Write basic reports which includes methodology, conclusions and supporting analytical data
- Comfortable working within a fast-paced environment under firm deadlines
- Exhibit proficiency in Microsoft Office (Including Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
- Work comfortably in a fast-paced environment with firm deadlines
- Maintain analytical instrumentation and troubleshoot problems when necessary
- Author standard operating procedures and demonstrate the ability to follow procedures
- Collaborate effectively in a team environment
Qualifications
- EDUCATION
- B.S. in Chemistry with good understanding of theory and related techniques and related operations is required.
- Experience with MS 365 (e.g., Word, Excel) and basic computer systems
- EXPERIENCE
- 1-2 years of industrial experience preferred but not required
- Knowledge with sample preparation and data interpretation. Direct experience with chromatography techniques (e.g., GC/FID, GC/MS, HPLC/UV) is preferred.
Additional Information
Position is full-time, Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of St. Louis, MO are encouraged to apply.
