Laboratory Technicians
The role
ALS Oil & Lubricants in Muswellbrook provides testing analysis to ensure optimal fluid health to our client’s equipment.
We are looking for a Laboratory Technician to join our close-knit team.
Working in a small team, you will be reporting to the Laboratory Supervisor. In our NATA-accredited oil analysis laboratory, you will analyse oil, coolant, fuel, and grease samples.
This is a full-time permanent role, Monday to Friday 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
This role will also be responsible for the following:
- Entering, updating, and maintaining sample and test data in LIMS
- Chemical and physical testing of oil, fuel, and coolant samples
- Basic equipment calibration checks
- Perform housekeeping duties as required
- Move and lift sample racks and boxes in the 5-10kg range
The Essentials
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under reasonable pressure
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team
- Excellent communication, organizational and time management skills
- Have the ability to absorb and retain high levels of information
- A sound level of computer literacy skills – training provided for internal recording systems
- A certificate in Laboratory Techniques (currently studying towards or completed) will be viewed favourably but is not essential
- Practical laboratory experience in a commercial laboratory would also be advantageous
