Sr Analytical Scientist

Are you interested in working with an exceptional team and making a meaningful impact on groundbreaking scientific research? Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a Sr Analytical Scientist to contribute to ambitious projects that drive technological innovation and address complex scientific challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement analytical methods to support research projects
  • Conduct rigorous data analysis and interpret results to ensure flawless execution of experiments
  • Analytical knowledge across many techniques is required including at least NMR, IR, KF, HPLC, GC, and MS.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to determine project requirements and timelines
  • Executes developmental and validated test methods using HPLC, GC, spectroscopy, GC/MS, LC/MS, and/or traditional wet chemical testing, and trains other employees on these techniques.
  • Maintain and operate advanced analytical instruments with strict adherence to protocols
  • Prepare detailed reports and present findings to collaborators
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in analytical science and integrate new techniques into projects

Requirements

  • PhD in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of proven experience in analytical method development and validation
  • Outstanding problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in diverse teams
  • Ability to successfully coordinate and manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Proficiency in the use of advanced analytical instruments and software

Work Schedule

  • Standard (Mon-Fri)

Environmental Conditions

  • Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance, Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards, Laboratory Setting, Office, Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.), Will work with hazardous/toxic materials
