Located in an Australian capital city, working across the Australia and New Zealand region.

How will you make an impact?

We are currently recruiting a Product Specialist to join the Vibrational Spectroscopy business within the Analytical Instrumentation Group. You will join a team passionate about bringing a new generation of fit for purpose FTIR, Raman and NIR instruments to the market. In this role you will work with an outstanding team in an innovative and an international working environment.

Keys to Success:

  • Own all sales account management responsibilities of the Thermo Fisher Scientific Vibrational Spectroscopy portfolio,
  • In collaboration with the service team, support installations, trainings, and after sales support to end customers in the ANZ region.
  • Support development projects with R&D engineers and our global applications team for the next generation of instruments serving the needs of our customers.
  • Work in cross-functional groups comprising other product management teams, product marketing, vertical marketing and R&D on new development projects including hardware and software.
  • Provide scientific expertise to guide strategic collaborations with KOLs.
  • Address challenges in a proactive and timely manner by providing regular feedback to R&D in order to address defects and feature gaps.
  • Provide sales training material to educate and enable our sales force to demonstrate applications which lead to commercial success.
  • Present Thermo Fisher Scientific products and application solutions at meetings, conferences and seminars.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Ph.D. or equivalent in Chemistry, Biological Sciences, or related field is required. In depth knowledge of Vibrational Spectroscopy and related applications.
  • Must demonstrate technical knowledge and ability to present to others in a clear and concise manner.
  • Excellent oral / written communication and presentation skills in English are a necessity.
  • Ability to work within a diverse, cross-functional team across multiple sites.
  • Highly motivated team member with strong interpersonal skills to optimally interact and communicate globally with internal colleagues (technical and business teams) and customers.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% (domestic and international).
