Orbem MRI Field Service Engineer
Responsibilities
The function of the Orbem Field Service Engineer is to attend the service activities for all installed systems at Orbem customer around Europe (especially CH, South DE and North IT), taking care of the solution of all technical cases opened by Orbem related to their existing systems.
This position has to attend any case assigned by the Orbem Team Service Leader. Even non-Orbem cases can be attended by the position, they cannot require long working times, as Orbem is the highest priority to be attended over any other system incident.
This position includes Field Service Engineer responsibilities.
Objectives
- Attend Orbem technical cases including installations, support, software and hardware issues fulfilling required KPI’s
- Support, attend and solve Orbem Technical incidents in his/her base country and/or other European countries.
- Collaborate with all the Orbem Field Service Engineer Team members.
Location
The role is hybrid, involving office days and necessitating frequent travel within the designated region for client visits and meetings.
Qualifications
- A degree level engineering qualification (or equivalent) or be able to demonstrate a similar level of knowledge and skill gained by practical experience
- Knowledge of current regulatory, environmental and safety legislation in all responsible localities of the position
- An excellent standard of both spoken and written English
- A current valid driving licence
- No visa or other restriction preventing travel in the USA or EU.
- Minimum work experience in technical field support and service within a global life sciences or related technical product work environment.
- Technical engineering work experience involving direct delivery of customer facing and remote field service and support for complex life sciences products and advanced instrumentation. Bruker product service experience preferred.
- High knowledge in Bruker NMR/MRI instruments, hardware, software and application is recommended
- Excellent verbal, written, computer, technical, analytical, negotiation and influence, interpersonal communication and presentation skills with advanced technology skills and proficiency in MS Office Suite (inc. MS Visio & Project), SAP, and Salesforce
- Support, attend and solve Orbem Technical incidents in his/her base country and/or other European countries.
- Collaborate with all the Orbem Field Service Engineer Team members.
Reporting
The position reports to the Orbem Team Service Leader but will keep matrix reporting to his/her country Team Leader Field Service Switzerland.
