Engineering Manager
Responsibilities
- We have an immediate opening for a talented Engineering Team Manager for our X-Ray products in our R&D department. The candidate will be responsible for:
Team Leadership:
Lead and manage a team of engineers, providing mentorship, guidance, and support in their career development.
Foster a positive and collaborative team culture that encourages open communication, knowledge sharing, and innovation.
Engineering Project Management:
Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
Allocate resources effectively, balancing workloads and skill sets within the team.
Technical Guidance:
Provide technical expertise and guidance to team members, assisting in problem-solving and decision-making related to complex technical challenges.
Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure the team is using the best tools and practices.
Stakeholder Communication:
- Collaborate with product managers, other engineering teams, and non-technical stakeholders to ensure alignment of project goals and priorities.
Performance Management:
Set clear performance expectations for team members and provide regular feedback through performance evaluations, one-on-one meetings, and constructive coaching.
Address any performance issues promptly and create improvement plans when necessary.
Career Development:
- Identify opportunities for skill enhancement and professional growth for each team member, supporting them in achieving their career goals.
Recruitment and Onboarding:
Participate in the hiring process by identifying engineering talent, conducting interviews, and making hiring decisions.
Facilitate the onboarding process to help new team members integrate smoothly into the team and company culture.
Quality Assurance:
- Ensure that the team adheres to coding standards, best practices, and quality assurance processes to deliver reliable and high-quality products.
Conflict Resolution:
- Address conflicts and challenges within the team, promoting a positive and collaborative working environment.
Strategic Planning:
- Contribute to the development of the engineering team's long-term strategy and objectives in alignment with the company's vision.
Qualifications
Experience
At least 5 years as a engineering team lead or technical project manager in capital equipment development industry (Semiconductors, Medical, Large printers etc.)
Must be a self-starter able to work independently as well as part of a small team on challenging problems.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills in English
EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- s.C, M.S. or PhD in engineering (electronics, mechanics, software) or Physics
