R&D SOFTWARE DEVELOPER (M/F/D)
We are looking for software engineers to strengthen our software development team by Bruker AXS in Karlsruhe. Bruker AXS, being part of the Bruker Corporation, is a leading global developer and manufacturer of analytical X-ray systems for elemental analysis and materials research. You will be working in small team on developing software packages and applications that allow customers to operate our analytical instruments, plan and perform analytical tasks. Our solutions enable a wide range of customers in research and industry – including chemistry, petrochemistry, pharmaceuticals, metals and steel, semiconductor, cement, minerals and mining, automotive, forensics, environmental, art and conservation, nanotechnology and life sciences – to make technological advancements and accelerate their progress.
Responsibilities
Develop .NET desktop applications to enable customers to work with the X-ray instruments manufactured by Bruker AXS
Extend and improve 2D data acquisition and image processing workflows
Run, check and improve developed software on X-ray instruments
Ensure performance, scalability, and quality of the developed software packages
Maintain software packages and applications throughout the product lifecycle
Stay up-to-date with new technologies and industry trends
Participate in innovation projects and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team covering mechanical design, electronics, physics, analytics
Collaborate with own team members and other software teams to continuously improve development and test procedures and standards
Qualifications
Master’s degree in Computer Science, Physics, or Engineering, or equivalent knowledge and skills
Software development experience in one the languages: C#, python, Java or C++
Understanding of data acquisition and image processing workflow, performance optimization
Experience with analytical systems appreciated
Knowledge in physics and electronics appreciated
Good knowledge of software engineering best practices and the full development lifecycle
Teamwork skills, initiative, and a sense of responsibility
Motivation to work in a multi-cultural team
Proficient English and good communication skills
German language skills are a plus
