SOFTWARE ENGINEER / MATERIAL SCIENTIST (M/F/D)
For our Bruker AXS location in Karlsruhe, we are looking for Software Engineer / Material Scientist (m/w/d)
Responsibilities
Develop and implement analysis methods for our innovative X-ray diffraction instruments
Writing clean, well-documented, well-tested and efficient code
Troubleshooting and documenting / testing software defects and technical issues
Ensuring application performance, security, and scalability
Collaborating within a multi-disciplinary team covering mechanical design, electronics, physics, and applications
Train and support in-house application scientists and service staff
Discuss, develop, and follow up new ideas in the lab and also with scientific partners, key customers, and colleagues worldwide
Qualifications
At minimum a master degree in a technical field like materials science, physics, or applied software engineering
Practical experience in interpreting data collected with analytical equipment
A working knowledge of X-ray diffraction would be an asset
Two to three years of work experience
Practical experience in software development (e.g. C, C#, Phyton, or similar)
Good cooperation and communication skills
Fluent writing and talking in English and German is advantageous
