Reports To: Field Service Manager France
Position Location: Home Office/ Home Location in Southern France preferred - eg Lyon / Marseille / Toulouse- / Nice / Bordeaux
Territory: - EMEA
Travel requirements: 50% - 90%
Position Summary:
Responsible for delivering all Service activities within the ULS Inorganic Mass Spectroscopy group, supporting the Multi Collector Mass Spectrometer product portfolio. Predominately based in France, however, requires extensive travel throughout EMEA. Service activities will include installation including related customer familiarisation, repairs, maintenance services etc.) aimed at achieving:
Satisfied customer base
Highest first-time fix rates / lowest mean time to repair
Lowest repeated call rates
You will contribute to the overall Service Targets with respect to bookings, revenues, service profit and overhead cost while following all internal rules, processes, and practices (as they are described)
Responsibilities:
To perform Field Service-related duties in line with internal rules, customer regulations and health and safety guidelines.
Specific product support to be given on ThermoFisher Scientific Multi Collector Mass Spectrometer and ICP High Resolution product portfolio.
To work remotely as part of the Trace Elemental Analysis Service Team providing on-site services exceeding customer’s expectations and ensuring that customers become promoters through positive feedback and achieving customer loyalty. (80%)
Deliver the highest professional relationship with our customer base escalating issues if necessary, to solve critical tasks in the fastest way possible. Follow our ethical business conduct guidance.
To enable the customers success through their relationship with ThermoFisher Scientific and the products & services we offer. Utilise lead tools to ensure customers are offered those products and services they require. Enable alignment of all activities at the customer site with the rest of ThermoFisher Scientific through the involvement of all relevant stakeholders. (5%).
Optimize own work schedule by coordinating with all the necessary partners for service planning (Dispatch function, Team Leader, others). (5%).
Responsible for managing company assets provided, such as car stock (parts inventory), laptop computer, mobile phone, test equipment (ensuring calibration), general tools, software, company car, manuals etc. (5%).
Responsible for timely and accurate reporting of all activities as required (e.g. field service reports, expense reports, etc.) (5%).
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
Professional background in Electronics/Physics/Engineering or related subjects.
Minimum 1-5 years’ experience servicing analytical equipment or equivalent applications specialist experience.
Strong problem solving skills.
Demonstrate organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks with different priorities.
Excellent inter-personal, self-motivational and negotiating skills.
PC skills.
Valid Driving License (manual).
Willingness to travel mainly within the appointed region (UK & Ireland) as well as through Europe and for occasional support to other regions.
Good English skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work across all levels, functions and regions.
