The Laboratory Analyst will work independently and as part of a team to accomplish a variety of lab tasks, including analyses, lab maintenance, and generating data.
<h4>Key Responsibilities:</h4>

The XRD Mineralogist plays a critical role in providing high quality analytical services and technical expertise to ALS clients. In this position, you will be responsible for all aspects of X-Ray Diffraction mineralogical analysis including sample preparation, instrument operation, data analysis and providing mineral compositions via interpretation of X-Ray diffraction patterns. 
<h4>Key Responsibilities:</h4>

<li>Prepare mineral samples for analysis, including milling, mounting, and loading onto sample holders;
</li>
<li>Operate, calibrate, and maintain XRD equipment to ensure accurate and reliable results;
</li>
<li>Perform X-ray diffraction (XRD) analyses on mineral samples following standard operating procedures;
</li>
<li>Troubleshoot instrument issues and optimize analysis parameters to improve efficiency and data quality;
</li>
<li>Interpret XRD patterns to identify mineral phases and quantify mineral compositions using specialized software for peak identification, phase quantification and crystalline structure determination;

<li>Prepare comprehensive reports summarizing XRD results, including mineral identification, quantitative analysis, and interpretation of mineralogical characteristics;

The Laboratory Analyst will work independently and as part of a team to accomplish a variety of lab tasks, including analyses, lab maintenance, and generating data.
<h4>Key Responsibilities:</h4>

<li>Responsibility for instrument operation following documented specific methods and/or procedures;

<li>Prepare samples, reagents, standards, and reference materials for analysis;

<li>Analyze samples of different matrices using laboratory instrumentation to generate accurate results for clients;

<li>Complete required data processing activities (i.e. data entry, calculations, review, archival, etc.) and documentation;

<li>Perform instrument/equipment calibration, troubleshooting, maintenance, and/or repairs as required;
