Here in Switzerland, we are a small, motivated team of sales, application specialists and service staff. Our customers are researchers in the life science market, in all sectors, such as academia, pharma as well as biotech start-up. Our portfolio is based on all applications our customers perform in a microtiter plate, be it cell imaging, detection, liquid handling and automation.&nbsp;</p><p>As our <strong>Sales Area Manager</strong> you will <strong>sell into and handle the French speaking sales territory for our CLSD Product portfolio</strong> (Microplate based instruments, Imaging, Detection, Liquid Handling and Automation).</p><h4><strong>Your responsibilities</strong></h4><ul><li>Performs demos of the whole CLSD portfolio at customer site with support of FAS.&nbsp;</li><li>Meet or exceed the assigned sales quota for the designated territory.</li><li>Identify customers for the products using supplied leads, local exhibits, mailings and account management techniques.</li><li>Qualify all potential customers through needs analysis, budget and purchase authority.</li><li>Develop a thorough solid understanding of the products including design, functionality and operation.</li><li>Develop and maintain a thorough working knowledge of typical product applications.</li><li>Participate in trade shows within and outside the territory as assigned by management.</li><li>Run the assigned territory including customer and account record keeping, reporting, time management.</li><li>Maintain daily customer and account record keeping within Agilent CRM database.</li></ul><h4><strong>Qualifications</strong></h4><ul><li>Master’s degree or equivalent in sciences or biology with technical background or knowledge in relevant scientific area (Cell Biology preferred)</li><li>Experience in Microscopy and Microplate Instruments is highly preferred</li><li>Fluent in French and English, German is an advantage</li><li><strong>Strong PC and Microsoft Windows skills </strong>(Word/Excel/PowerPoint)</li><li>Used to CRM environment (familiarity with SalesForce.com is a plus)</li><li>Possess a valid driver’s license</li></ul><h4><strong>These desired qualifications make you stand out:</strong></h4><ul><li>Good presentation, communication and interpersonal skills&nbsp;</li><li>Results driven with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills</li><li>Ability to be an effective teammate</li><li>Strongly motivated, dedicated and flexible</li><li>Ability to set customer expectations and balance customer requirements with Agilent's business needs</li></ul><h4><br><strong>What we offer</strong></h4><p>We will ensure you get all the training and development opportunities you need to become the best in your field, including learning about new applications and workflows in Agilent’s innovative demo facility.&nbsp;</p><p>Agilent offers core global benefits to all staff - but in addition to these, the business offers Car Allowance, Stock Purchase Plan, Life Insurance, Pension, Healthcare, Employee Assistance Program, Holiday, and Company activities.</p><p>Agilent Technologies, Inc. is an Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action employer.
