Many industries face constraints such as limited material availability, high costs, or the need to minimize waste. Despite these challenges, advanced gas pycnometry instruments make it possible to obtain optimal density results for solids, semi-solids, slurries, and other advanced materials without compromise. This Webinar explores how to achieve precise and reliable solid density measurements using minimal sample amounts.

Key discussion points include:
  • Why sample size matters: Common reasons for working with limited quantities in research, quality control, and production.
  • Choosing the right technology: How micro-volume density meters ensure accuracy with small samples.
  • Sample handling best practices: Reducing errors from evaporation, contamination, or improper filling.
  • Real-world applications: Case examples where reliable density data was achieved with less than 0.1 cm3 of sample.

Presenter: Alyssa Henderson, Ph.D.

Dr. Henderson, a Global Product Manager specializing in semi-solid and solid density meters/porometers and porosimeters at Anton Paar QuantaTec, brings nine years of experience in materials characterization to the role. With five years of focused experience in porous materials, she possesses a deep understanding of the field. Dr. Henderson earned her Ph.D. in materials physics from Florida State University. She has conducted extensive training for over 200 associates and customers globally, covering gas adsorption, solid density, and related theories, techniques, applications, and instruments. As Global Product Manager, she is responsible for developing new technologies in the field of Surface Area and Pores by working in collaboration with different industries like Pharmaceuticals, Cement, Food, Cosmetics, EV Battery, Catalyst etc.
