Presenter: Martin Warman (Director of Martin Warman Consultancy Ltd and Associate Member at CPACT)

Martin is the Director of Martin Warman Consultancy Ltd.He has over 25 years of experience, having previously led the Global PAT Development Team at Pfizer as well as leading the Vertex PAT and Continuous Manufacturing teams. Martin is an Associate Member at CPACT and leads the Emerging Measurement Technology focus group.

Presenter: Gabriella Gerzon (PhD Candidate, York University, Toronto, Canada (Sanofi Collaboration))

Gabriella Gerzon is currently a PhD student in the Biology Department at York University, Toronto, Canada. Gabriella received her MSc. in Biological Sciences from York University, and her studies focused on mechanisms of epigenetic signaling in response to DNA damage. Currently, Gabriella’s research is in collaboration with Sanofi Pasteur Ltd. and focuses on the development of various analytical techniques to implement PAT solutions for bioprocess monitoring.

Presenter: Alejandro Bara-Estaún, PhD (Solution Product Manager for (bio)Process Analytical Technology, Bruker Biospin)

Alejandro Bara Estaun obtained his Ph.D. in Inorganic Chemistry at the University of Bath (UK) in collaboration with Bristol University and Evonik (Germany). He then undertook a two-year postdoctoral position at Bruker, leading the PIPAc project in collaboration with Alysohpil, Novalix, and De Dietrich. Recently, he transitioned into the role of Solution Product Manager for (bio)Process and Process Analytical Technology within Bruker’s Biopharma and Applied (BPA) division.

Moderator: Matteo Pennestri, Ph. D. (Team Leader, PAT and Automation, Bruker BioSpin)

Matteo Pennestri obtained his Ph.D. in Biophysical methods at the University of Tor Vergata Rome (collaboration with Merck Sharp and Dohme). Then he moved as NMR spectroscopist in the pharmaceutical industry (MSD and EISAI). After experiencing the pharma sector, he joined as application scientist Agilent Technologies first (ex. Varian) and Bruker afterwards.  After joining the Bruker Pharma unit as NMR specialist and Product Manager he recently become Team Leader PAT for Automation and Process Analytical Technology.
