Presenter: Jochem Struppe, PhD )Sr Applications Scientist II, Bruker BioSpin)

Jochem Struppe received his Dr. rer. nat. in Physics from University of Stuttgart, Germany in 1996. Following a post-doctoral position at the University of California San Diego, he joined Bruker 1999 as the Applications Engineer in California. September 2000, he joined the applications group in Billerica. Leading the solid-state NMR team in Billerica he enjoys developing new experiments and exploring CPMAS probe hardware limits nondestructively and destructively.

Presenter: Shane Pawsey, PhD (Senior Application Scientist I, Bruker BioSpin)

Shane Pawsey obtained his Ph.D. in Chemistry at McGill University and was focused on the study of structure and dynamics of self-assembled monolayers by solid state NMR. This was followed by a fellowship at the National Research Council of Canada where he developed instrumentation for hyperpolarized xenon NMR to study functionalized porous materials. Shane joined Bruker BioSpin in 2008 as an applications scientist specializing in solid state NMR. In 2010 he returned to the field of hyperpolarization and joined with the Dynamic Nuclear Polarization group in Billerica to grow new applications.
