Advancing Microplastics Analysis with the QCL-Based 8700 LDIR Imaging System

More speed, better data management, and cost-effective filter solutions
A lot has happened recently in the standardization of the analysis of microplastics. Microplastics are on everyone's lips due to their potential danger, but until now, there has been a lack of concrete regulations and standards as well as fast and reliable technologies.
The QCL-based 8700 LDIR has firmly established itself over the last few years as a fast, automated, and intuitive technology, which is also reflected in the recently published EU directive. Furthermore, we were able to make further improvements in terms of software and hardware, enhancing the speed once again and implementing additional extensions in terms of data management, archiving, and ATR processing. Additionally, in collaboration with the company I3 Membrane, we have successfully validated new, high-performance, and cost-effective aluminum filters for the LDIR.
