LABORATORY TECHNICIAN - CHEMISTRY
The Role
ALS Water’s modern new facility in Hume, Canberra is equipped with the latest in analytical technology. This is a full-time opportunity for a confident and capable Laboratory Technician - Chemistry to join our client-focused team.
The Day to Day
Sample preparation
Analysis of water and soil samples
Interpretation and result entry into LIMS system
Ensuring that the quality of work is maintained in accordance with QWIs
Meeting turn-around requirements
Carry out wet chemistry
Preparing and running metals samples (ICP-MS, ICP-OES)
Working safely at all times
The Essentials
Experience in a client-focused environment - ideally with commercial laboratory exposure
Effective written and verbal communications, computer literacy
Well-organised, task-focused with attention to detail
Strong team player who can also work autonomously and with initiative
A clear understanding of HSE principles and practice and commitment to safe working
