LABORATORY TECHNICIAN - CHEMISTRY

The Role

ALS Water’s modern new facility in Hume, Canberra is equipped with the latest in analytical technology. This is a full-time opportunity for a confident and capable Laboratory Technician - Chemistry to join our client-focused team.

The Day to Day

• Sample preparation

• Analysis of water and soil samples

• Interpretation and result entry into LIMS system

• Ensuring that the quality of work is maintained in accordance with QWIs

• Meeting turn-around requirements

• Carry out wet chemistry

• Preparing and running metals samples (ICP-MS, ICP-OES)

• Working safely at all times

The Essentials

• Experience in a client-focused environment - ideally with commercial laboratory exposure

• Effective written and verbal communications, computer literacy

• Well-organised, task-focused with attention to detail

• Strong team player who can also work autonomously and with initiative

• A clear understanding of HSE principles and practice and commitment to safe working
