R&D Laboratory Technician

Discover Impactful Work:

As a member of the R&D team you will assist project teams in the chemical and polymer analysis laboratory. You will interact with R&D and project teams across multiple divisions, and work closely with the various disciplines to support product development. Additionally, you will collaborate and network with colleagues internally and in industry or academia. This position reports to the Manager of R&D and is located in Rochester, NY.

A day in the Life:

  • Support scientists with the development of plastic medical devices
  • Routine instrument operations HPLC, GC, ICP, FTIR, DSC
  • Assist with data collection in support of extractables and leachable testing
  • General lab operation support

Keys to Success:

Education

  • Minimum B.S./BA in chemistry or related field
  • Recent graduates are encouraged to apply

Experience, Skills & Abilities

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interpret and summarize scientific results in a clear, concise, and accurate manner
  • Work with limited supervision in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and solve problems
  • Excellent organizational skills to meet project deadlines and support multiple ongoing projects
  • Ability to present data and findings to peers and managers
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in New York is $21.82–$32.72.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
