Field Service Engineer II
In this role, you will work closely with the regional service manager and be responsible for delivering comprehensive services on optical emission spectroscopy (OES), x-ray fluorescence (XRF), and x-ray diffraction (XRD) systems. Your tasks will involve installation, repairs, preventive maintenance, instrument qualifications, as well as interacting with customers and collaborating with various teams such as sales, technical support, and engineering.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform on-site installation, repair, maintenance, qualification, and validation of optical emission spectroscopy, x-ray fluorescence, and x-ray diffraction systems.
- Use customer management software to keep track of service calls, manage parts inventories, and complete job tasks.
- Inspect malfunctioning products, analyze inspection findings to resolve source of the problem, and recommend repair, replacement, or other corrective action.
- Serve as a communication link between the customer and the company to ensure effective service delivery.
- Develop and conduct training on the safe operations of the equipment and demonstrate skills to trainees, including both team members and customers.
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent experience, with a strong preference for a Bachelor's degree in Sciences, Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent experience will also be considered.
- 3 or more years of hands-on experience as a Service Engineer, particularly working with analytical instrumentation. Working experience with optical emission spectroscopy, x-ray fluorescence, and x-ray diffraction is a strong plus.
Location
- Greater New York or New Jersey area preferred.

- Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance, Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.)
