Field Service Engineer
Bruker Spain is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Advanced Field Service Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the optimal performance of Bruker AXS equipment and fostering strong customer relationships through exceptional service and support. The ideal candidate will possess extensive technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in diverse environments.
Responsibilities
- Planning, organizing, coordinating, and executing own activities with coordinator supervision.
- Provide onsite installation of Bruker AXS equipment or accessories according to factory specifications - in high technology laboratories, in a variety of industries, and academic environments.
- Deliver customer training on hardware and software, including safety protocols and maintenance requirements as per company standards.
- Diagnose/solve problems through remote/virtual sessions with customers.
- Perform preventive/scheduled/corrective maintenance and troubleshooting on instruments.
- Establish and maintain a thorough and detailed knowledge of all assigned products.
- Provide information and collaborate with the administration for the preparation of quotations, material orders and removal of parts as well as the monitoring of these tasks.
- Maintaining an up-to-date customer and contact database in the company approved format.
- Liaise closely with service management and sales colleagues.
- Participate in factory training courses, updates on features, software of new and existing products.
- Attitude to work in a team and share information / knowledge. Develop and maintain a congenial rapport with all customers in assigned territory by providing support and positively representing Bruker.
- Although the usual work zone will be the South of Spain (Andalusia, Extremadura, the Canary Islands and Murcia), the candidate must be willing and able to travel domestically and internationally (occasionally).
- Other assignments as requested from time to time.
Qualifications
- Qualification in electronics technical engineering preferably with previous technical training.
- Proven experience in field service engineering, preferably with X-ray-related products.
- Strong technical knowledge of hardware and software installation, maintenance, and repair.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent command of English and Spanish.
- Solid computer skills, including familiarity with data system hardware, industry-standard operating systems and in using CRM systems such as Salesforce.com and SAP CRM.
- Professional and self-assured demeanour with an outgoing personality to build relationships through inspiring trust and confidence.
- Flexible attitude towards working hours, often influenced by job completion or client availability.
- Ability to work independently, organized, and efficient.
- Possession of a current driving licence and passport.
