- For Service, Technical Support, Marketing & Sales Roles: Additional compensation is available through either an Incentive and/or Commission Plan.

POSITION SUMMARY:
Shimadzu Scientific Instruments is seeking a Technical Support Engineer to join our team. We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to help drive sales by providing strong pre and post sales support to our customers. This is a field-based role to support our regional team. Candidates currently residing in or contemplating relocation to Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, and neighboring states are encouraged to apply.
JOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Conduct product demonstrations, technical presentations, and training sessions for customers.
- Provide customer focused technical support for physical measurement products including universal testing machines, dynamic and fatigue testing machines, hardness testers, particle size analyzers, and other products as required.
- Perform Installations, software training, basic maintenance, and troubleshooting at customer locations.
- Participate in sales calls with regional sales and service representatives.
- Collaborate with the sales team to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline such as Mechanical Engineering or Material Science and Engineering. A bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience may be considered.
- Strong technical knowledge and understanding of these technologies.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel.
