FIELD SALES SPECIALIST – MATERIALS ANALYSIS
Position Summary:
LECO wouldn’t be an industry leader without its successful sales team. We’re seeking a qualified Field Sales Specialist – Materials Analysis for the United States who exhibits an interest in spectroscopy and material testing. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the sales process and play a key role in all field sales before, during, and after the sales process for LECO’s atomic emission, automated hardness, and image analysis product offerings. We’re seeking a quick learner who has strong listening and demonstration skills to showcase our product offerings in a compelling matter. Often tasked with assisting the field sales team with technical presentations, attending trade shows, and providing demonstrations of product offerings, the sales specialist must be both approachable and professional to increase our market growth.
Position Responsibilities:
- Work with the existing field sales team to design and coordinate specific outreach efforts of atomic emission, automated hardness, and image analysis product lines.
- Assist product management with technical needs regarding marketed products including ongoing feedback, competitive environment, customer related issues/needs, etc. as they apply to the improvement and sales of the assigned products.
- Coordinate efforts with the sales team to assist in lead generation and cultivation as required.
- Attending meetings, sales events, and training to keep abreast of the latest developments.
- Travel assigned territory in domestic USA
- Territory Location – Remote
- Requires up to 60% overnight travel.
- Ideal candidate would be located within the Midwest area, but not required.
- Work with Sales / Service / Applications / Technical Communications / Research & Development on customer issues, installations, samples, etc. as required
Position Requirements:
- Demonstratable hands on experience with atomic emission spectroscopy and/or exposure to other surface science instrumentation (i.e. Auger, SEM, XPS, etc.)
- Prior experience in sales, sales support, and/or exposure to clients is preferred
- Experience supporting ferrous and nonferrous metals and metals analyses
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills

- Windows 10, Microsoft Office skills
- Hands-on experience with a CRM, Salesforce, is a plus but not required
- Ability to work within the USA without restrictions
Education/Certifications:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Sciences focused on Materials Science or Chemistry
