SR. SALES APPLICATION MANAGER
Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Strategic
Works on complex Technical and marketing issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of Bruker and its SEMI customers. Participates in SEMI BU development of methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for projects, programs, and people. Ensures budgets and schedules meet corporate requirements.
Gatekeeper for the Regional key account TRM, be able to create high level executive technical summary, technology roadmap and present to customer technical executive level.
Formulate and lead the customer interactions on all technical product roadmaps for X-Ray, AAFM, Mask Repair and WLI.
Provide direction to the product managers, engineering managers, and general managers regarding our customers’ requirements for leading edge semiconductor process and metrology requirements.
Working in conjunction with the BSEMI business units, identify customer needs, new product definition and attractiveness of new opportunities and potential market size.
Establish metrics and data mining on the competitive landscape in Taiwan, evaluating technology strengths/ weaknesses, customer opportunities and multi-year product line strategy.
Be the regional expert on our customers’ semiconductor processes- Advanced Logics and memories. Communicate at an advanced technical level with customers, enhancing Bruker’s credibility and building coaches in customer organizations.
Tactical
Interacts with sales, product managers, and the business unit general managers on product and technology with an outlook for the next 1 – 3 years.
Interacts with Engineering, manufacturing and sales to enhance existing product(s) or product lines.
Provides updates to sales team and support of sales team.
Manages X-Ray, AAFM, Mask Repair and WLI applications engineering team in Taiwan.
Build a team environment of high performance applications engineers in Taiwan who are driven by winning.
Product presentations at conferences, seminars, workshops and customer sites as required.
Develop a strong understanding of competitive landscape within the region.
Develop and maintains positive relationships with customers.
Identify key technical opinion leading customers in the region and ensure maintenance of good working relationships.
Tracks and reports semiconductor and semi capex market trends.
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Experience with semiconductor Fab technology development (TD or R&D) or semiconductor metrology and related test equipment preferred.
Solid understanding of semiconductor metrology requirements.
Strong technical background - able to understand the problems that our customers are trying to solve, understanding of the customer’s current and future metrology requirements, and able to recommend new metrology opportunities to Bruker.
Very strong interpersonal skills and ability to interface with internal and external customers and support groups within Bruker.
Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to achieve shared goals, but also equally comfortable working independently when required.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Educational / Experience Requirements
Master’s degree in Physics or Engineering required; Ph.D. preferred.
Candidate must have minimum of 10+ years of experience in SEMI Fab or capital equipment.
Experience with semiconductor metrology and related test equipment preferred.
