SERVICE SPECIALIST / ENGINEER
Bruker Nano, one of Bruker’s four operating segments, provides customers in academic and governmental institutions, life science, materials, and applied industries with the tools to determine the characteristics of matter and visualize the structure of molecules. Divisions within BNANO include Bruker AXS, Bruker Nano Analytics, Bruker Nano Surfaces and Metrology, Fluorescence Microscopy, and Canopy.
This position is ideally based in Monterrey, Mexico.
Responsible to provide on-site support for installations, repairs, maintenance, and training as required.
Provide first line technical support to field engineers and customers using technical documentation, telephone support and remote diagnostic tools.
Responsibilities
Provide professional technical support by visiting the Bruker customers with installation, training, corrective and preventive maintenance in Mexico and Latin America.
Support regional and global customer hotline and provide 1st level support.
Support to increase the Service contracts coverage and business.
Support sales team for technical questions and aftermarket sales (e. g. upgrades business).
Regular customer contacts to ensure maximum satisfaction.
Translate technical manuals and service procedures when needed.
Prepare service and expenses report professionally and in time.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical/Material Sciences, equivalent military education
AA degree with 2 years’ experience working with complex instrumentation
Strong competency with complex systems technology to include electrical/electronics, mechanics, software and chemistry technology
More than 2 years experience in customer service
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Motivated self-starter.
Ability to speak and write proficiently in Spanish.
Advanced level to read, speak and write in English
Ability to handle multiple tasks effectively.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
High level technical hardware and software skills related to X-ray instrumentation.
Self organized, oriented to deadline.
