12th Nordic Conference on Plasma Spectrochemistry and Ionization Principles in Mass Spectrometry

We are excited to welcome the international scientific community to this landmark event, building on the proud legacy of 11 highly successful Nordic conferences in Loen, Norway, and two acclaimed international meetings on ionization principles in mass spectrometry at Svalbard, Norway, and Menorca, Spain.
Hosted by the Analytical Section of the Norwegian Chemical Society (NKS), the conference brings together scientists, researchers, laboratory technicians, and industry leaders from across the globe for a 4 ½ day of discovery, collaboration, and inspiration.
As plasma-based atomization and excitation in atomic spectrometry and ionization in mass spectrometry continue to evolve at a rapid pace, this conference shines a spotlight on the latest breakthroughs—from precise elemental and isotopic analysis to cutting-edge ionization strategies that unlock the identification of intact molecules.
For users of these powerful analytical principles and the laboratory professionals who apply them daily, the conference offers invaluable opportunities to gain practical insights, refine methodologies, and connect directly with innovators and participation in short courses shaping the tools and techniques of tomorrow.
More than just a scientific meeting, the 12th Nordic Conference is a dynamic forum where ideas turn into practice, collaborations grow into innovations, and knowledge translates into real-world impact.
Don’t miss your chance to be part of this inspiring event - where science, technology, and practice come together to define the future of analytical science. Join us and make your mark!

Instruction for preparation of the one-page abstract
These instructions have been prepared to reflect the editorial and content formats required for the Book of Abstracts. If your contribution is submitted before 20 April 2026, we will be able to include your contribution in the scientific programme and Book of Abstract.
Please make the abstract informative to ensure that your contribution is scheduled for the appropriate session and to attract the interest of your colleagues. Figures and tables may be included to convey important information. References should be included only when absolute essential and are to be placed at the end of the abstract.
Abstract Format
Your abstract must not exceed one page (single spaced, in font Times New Roman 12 or equivalent, typed area not exceeding 15 cm by 25 cm, included any tables, figures and references. Please underline the name of the presenting author(s).
- Please also indicate if you prefer an oral or a poster presentation.
- The abstract should be submitted as a Word file to: [email protected].
Poster Format
The size of the poster board is 1 000 x 1 200 mm (W x H). It is important that your audience is able to view the material and make sense of it from a distance of 1.5 to 2 meters. “Less is better”. Appropriate materials for mounting posters will be provided.
