PerkinElmer DG Technical Center Open House & User Group Meeting

PerkinElmer is pleased to present an upcoming educational event featuring two tracks of technology demos and networking. One track offers a complimentary workshop that will give insight into Atomic Spectroscopy (ICP-OES and ICP-MS), while the other delves into Infra-red technology, Thermal analysis, and Chromotagraphy. Both tracks have ample time to tour our demo lab in order to view and work with live and operable instruments. Please register below. Guests are permitted to attend either track for any of our talks.
Agenda Atomic Spectroscopy
09:00 AM - 09:30 AM Arrival / Introductions
- Mark Payne/Doug Sterner
09:30 AM - 10:15 AM Advances in Atomic Spectroscopy
- Aaron Hineman, Inorganic Market Development Manager
This presentation will highlight key technological advancements that are improving analytical performance, operational robustness, and workflow efficiency. Topics will include innovations in plasma source design, multi-quadrupole ICP-MS interference control, improvements in sample introduction systems for challenging matrices, and software developments that enhance data quality and compliance.
10:15 AM - 11:00 AM Unparalleled Robustness of the NexION 1100 ICP-MS: Your ROI in Real Time
- John Ferencz, Field Application Scientist
This presentation highlights the design and performance advantages of the NexION 1100 ICP-MS, with a focus on instrument robustness and long-term operational stability. Key hardware innovations—including plasma robustness, ion optics design, and optimized sample introduction—enable reliable analysis across demanding sample matrices while reducing routine maintenance and consumable use. Through real-world application examples and operational metrics, this talk will demonstrate how improved robustness directly translates into measurable return on investment (ROI). Attendees will see how laboratories can maintain analytical performance while increasing uptime, reducing service interventions, and lowering total cost of ownership in routine testing environments.
